Adam Foster-Fahy (8 out of 10 ) This was a very interesting read. I have new found respect for Russel Mulcahy's movie now- whereas I used to think it was a fairly naff and cheesy pop music video of a film with a fantastic story, I can see how this project developed from this script into something much better. The story and plotting is good, I liked the different version of Brenda's detective work, and the different versions of flashbacks of Macleod's past are interesting, though not necessarily better than the final filmed version. I think that the characters in this script are a bit more mundane-- Clancy Brown did a tremendous job making such a memorable villain out of his role, and I imagine Ramierez's role was expanded when they got Connery to take it. All in all I enjoyed reading this script, bit I think that some of the best bits of the final film are absent from this draft.
